James has lived in North Somerset his whole life. He was born locally and attended several local schools before finishing his education in Bristol.
He has lived in Yatton for over half a decade, so he knows what issues matter to you. He is passionate about our local community as many of the changes that have affected Yatton have affected him.
Due to the nature of his work, he has an excellent knowledge of how local government works and what needs to be done to get things to work. This knowledge will be valuable in securing what our communities need such as a long-term plan for tackling traffic problems.
James has also previously served on the Parish Council between 2017 and late 2019. His time on the Parish Council has allowed him to get a deeper understanding of the work that is still needed on a range of issues.
Since leaving the Parish Council, James has been involved with several community campaigns. He worked closely with Annabel to help set up the “Save our Access” Facebook group In 2021 which attracted over 1700 members, this helped coordinated a successful campaign to reverse the Council’s decision to restrict access to the Moor roads.
James and Annabel have known each other for many years and have worked closely together in the past. They will be a strong team and a coordinated voice for all members of our community.
